Amusium balloti Bernardi 1861
Ballot's saucer scollop, northern scallop, tropical saucer scollop
Only 1 half of this bivalve shell was found. The right valve of Amusium balloti is white, whereas the right valve is deep pink. The animal swims actively but rests on sandy bottoms. Amusium Balloti is imporatant in commercial scallop fisheries.
