The Grey Nurse shark is easily identified by its 2 equal dorsal fins. It is upper body is grey to bronze. Close inspection reveals small brown spots scattered all over the body. The arrangement of these spots can be used to identify individuals. Like many sharks and rays, the underside is white. Grey Nurse have long narrow teeth which are almost always visible.
