Zanclus cornutus, moorish idol

The Moorish Idol, Zanclus cornutus, has an elongate snout, a very long dorasl fin filament, and distinctive black yellow and white bars. Juvenilesare generally solitary, whilst adults are usually in pairs, but sometimes in schools. Moorish Idols can be confused with the Reef Bannerfish.
