Female Orange Fairy Basslets,
Pseudanthias Squamipinnis,
(right) are bright orange in colour. The males
(below) are lilac to purple with a conspicuous reddish purple spot on the pectoral fin. Males also have a long third dorsal spine. Orange Basslets are often found in small groups
Distribution = widespread tropical Indo-Pacific
Max size = 12cms
