Anoplocapros inermis Fraser-Brunner 1935

eastern smooth boxfish

tiny juvenile Eastern Smooth Boxfish (above) are bright orange with feint dark spots
Older juveniles (above) develop darker spots.	Female Eastern Smooth Boxfish, Anoplocapros inermis (above)	Male are pale to blue with large yellow blotches. Above is a young male, older ones are bluer.
Family =  Aracanidae - temperate boxfishes	Distribution =  endemic central & south coast of eastern Australia	Max size = 35cms
