



The Trumpetfish, Aulostomus chinensis, has a long narrow body. colours are very variable, often pale green or brown with stripes, bars or spots, sometimes bright yellow. Individuals can change their colour very quickly.
Trumpet fish have a relatively broad tail and a single fan shaped tail fin. This distinguishes them from flutemouths.
