The Yellow-tail Kingfish, Seriola lalandi, is often found in large schools, but sometimes singly. Its body is silvery, blue-green on the upper part, with a yellowish band along the sides of the body. The tail fin is yellow and deeply forked with a silver centre. Seriola lalandi has a narrow upper jaw.
