Chaetodon melannotus
black-back butterflyfish
The Black-back Butterflyfish, Chaetodon melannotus, is easily recognised by the black mark along its back which breaks into diagonal lines. The entire fish is surrounded by yellow. Juveniles are similar to adults but have a black ocellus near the base of the tail. |
