Diana's hogfish

 

Pictured left is an adult Diana's hogfish. It is characterised by a brownish head and yellowish body with 4 yellow spots along the back and many black spots near the tail. It has large black blotches on its ventral and anal fins.

juveniles are dark with many white spots.

Diana's hogfish feeds molluscs and crustaceans, juveniles have a cleaning role.

Distribution =  widespread tropical Indo -Pacific
Max size = 20cm
