Lepadichthys lineata Briggs 1966
syn Discotrema lineata

double line clingfish, two stripe clingfish

Lepadichthys lineata, Discotrema lineata, double line clingfish

The Double-line Clingfish, Lepadichthys lineata, has a brown body with two longitudinal cream stripes through each eye. There is an additional stripe along the centre of the back.

Many clingfishes have ventral fins fused into a sucking disc, so they may attach to various surface.

Their fins are inconspicuous and, at rest, they may look like slugs.
