Cuttlefish swim close to the bottom in search of prey. The have a large flat internal shell which is used to regulate buoyancy by pumping liquid into the tiny chambers within it. Cuttlefish “bones” are often washed up on Tallow Beach in sizes from 5 to 30cms.
