Heteractis crispa, leathery sea anemone

The leathery sea anemone, Heteractis crispa, has many tentacles - up to 800. The tentacles are up to 10cms long and are evenly tapered to a point, they are often tipped purple or blue. The oral disc of Heteractis crispa is brownish violet or grey, the column is usually burried.
