Regrowth & Regeneration

Seastars (starfish) are able to regrow arms which have been broken off. All seastars have this potential but the species which takes this to extremes is Luzon star. Most other starfish are usually seen with a standard number of intact arms of similar length. WIth the Luzon star this is rarely the case. The number of arms is variable, and the lengths of each arm can be quite different.
